Your privacy
We collect only the personal information we need to process your order, deliver it, fit parts and give support: your name, contact details, delivery address, vehicle details and order history. We share it only with the people who need it to fulfil your order: our suppliers, couriers and payment processor (iKhokha). We don't sell your information. With your consent we may send you marketing, and you can opt out at any time. You may ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing myfj4x4@gmail.com. Information Officer: Alan van Rooyen.
3.1 6-month quality guarantee. Every product is guaranteed to be of good quality and free of defects for 6 months after delivery. If it isn't, you choose repair, replacement or a refund (section 1.4).
3.2 Manufacturer warranty. Many products also carry their manufacturer's or brand's own warranty, which may be longer. Where it exists, the warranty period and terms are shown on the product page and the brand's terms apply. We'll help you lodge and manage the claim with the supplier.
3.3 Fitment workmanship. Fitments done by MyFJ 4x4 carry a 6-month workmanship guarantee covering labour and installed parts (see section 4.6). Any repair work we do, and the parts we install, are always covered for at least 3 months.
3.4 Not covered: normal wear and tear; misuse, overloading, accidents or competition use; incorrect installation by a third party (the part itself is still covered for manufacturing defects); unauthorised modifications; and damage from corrosion caused by lack of maintenance where the manufacturer specifies maintenance.
3.5 Claims. Email myfj4x4@gmail.com with your order number, proof of purchase, vehicle details (series, model, year, VIN if relevant) and clear photos or video. We'll respond within 5 business days. The faulty item may need to be inspected by us or the supplier.
4.1 Who fits. Fitments are done by the owner at our workshop in Mookgophong, Limpopo, by appointment only. We take a maximum of 2 vehicles at a time, so bookings are confirmed in order of payment.
4.2 Quote and booking. Every fitment is quoted in writing before work starts. Your booking is confirmed once a deposit of 50% of the quoted parts and labour is received. Parts ordered specially for your vehicle are non-returnable. You never pay for work beyond the quote unless you approved it first.
4.3 Before we start. We inspect the vehicle on arrival. If we find existing damage, rust or worn parts that affect the fitment, we'll tell you and quote before continuing. Please remove valuables; the vehicle must be roadworthy enough to be worked on safely.
4.4 Timing. We'll give you an estimated completion date. Delays caused by supplier stock, parts that differ from spec, or extra work you approve may move that date; we'll keep you updated.
4.5 Customer-supplied parts. We may agree to fit parts not bought from us. Our workmanship guarantee then covers the fitting only, not the part.
4.6 Workmanship guarantee. Our fitment work is guaranteed for 6 months from collection, covering both labour and the parts we installed. This is longer than the minimum 3-month cover for repair work and installed parts. Report any issue promptly; we'll inspect and fix workmanship faults at no charge.
4.7 Vehicle collection. We'll notify you in writing when your vehicle or parts are ready. Please collect within a reasonable time; vehicles are released once the balance is paid.
4.8 Cancellations. If you cancel, we refund your deposit minus our actual, reasonable costs already incurred (for example supplier restocking fees and special-order parts). Cancelling at least 48 hours before your slot usually means lower costs.
4.9 Modification, restoration and conversion projects are quoted individually with their own written scope, timeline and payment schedule.
4.10 Legal and insurance. Some modifications (for example suspension lifts, larger tyres or engine conversions) can affect your vehicle's roadworthiness, licensing or insurance. You're responsible for telling your insurer about them; we'll gladly explain what's being changed.
